Caring for your Tres-Mimi art

At Tres-Mimi, we pride ourselves on creating unique 3D and glow-in-the-dark paintings using a fascinating array of materials like sea glass, epoxy resin, and crystals. To ensure your treasured artwork remains beautiful and lasts for years to come, understanding its special characteristics and proper care is essential. Here are some essential advice on how to care for your artwork, ensuring its longevity and vibrant beauty:

  • 3D paintings – inclusion are sensible, please use with care, do not handle rough, rub, submit to blows or lean on other surfaces.
  • Glow in the dark – for paintings that are glow in the dark, the feature only works if the painting is in natural sun light (not full sun) for a minimum of 2h daily. Effect can last a few hours until it need recharging again. May fade over long periods of time.
  • Epoxy resin coating – Epoxy resin may present some yellowing in time if painting displayed in full sun. Epoxy resin may crack and chip if painting not hanged/stored correctly on a flat surface with correct support. Epoxy resin may scratch if inappropriately handled. If displayed in full sun, epoxy resin may emit slight toxic fumes in first instance.
  • Please gently dust with a clean microfiber cloth or feather duster, using gentle surface stokes, do not rub, especially if painting is 3D. Do not use any chemicals to clean.
  • Weight – paintings can be very heavy due to 3D elements like: seashells, original sea glass, crystals, sculpting clay, sand, epoxy resin. Please use appropriate support when hanging on the walls.
